black sesame brownie pudding
Jump to recipe
Ina Garten’s brownie pudding has taken the world by storm. This is my scaled down version incorporating black sesame (the best flavour of all time, no argument).
I use the brand Sing Long’s black sesame paste and black sesame powder, but any brand would work here.

black sesame brownie pudding
- Time
- 1 hour
- Yield
- 2 servings
- Level
- medium
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180C (convection).
- Melt butter and white chocolate together.
- Stir in black sesame paste.
- In a stand mixer beat eggs and sugar on medium high for 5-10 mins until very thick. Add in sifted flour and black sesame powder and mix on low until just combined.
- Slowly pour in the melted butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- Transfer batter to a buttered oven safe dish.
- Bake this in a hot water bath for 30 mins. The top will be firm but slightly brittle (not soft if you touch it.) Remove from oven and water bath and let cool slightly. Serve immediately.
Tara's notes
- You must bake this in a water bath. Otherwise it will be dry.
